There are just 20 days to go until T in the Park celebrates 20 great years, and some of the hottest acts on the planet are gearing up to descend on Kinross over the 12th – 14th July, including headliners Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus The Script, Stereophonics, Calvin Harris, Snoop Dogg, David Guetta, Kraftwerk, Beady Eye, Frank Ocean, Emeli Sandé, alt-J, Foals, The Lumineers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and loads more. To mark the 20 day countdown until the biggest weekend of the summer, here are 20 things you can look forward to atT in the Park’s 20th year celebrations.

3. Start the party early
The 20th year party officially starts on the Thursday, with Sub Club residents Harri and Domenicat the helm. Guaranteed to get the weekend off to an epic start, the duo behind Subculture will serve up their legendary blend of house and techno to Thursday campers. Auntie Flo, Marquis Hawkes Ben Martin, Mia Dora and Vitamins also feature on the Thursday night. Thursday camping upgrades are now available for those looking to make the most of the long weekend.
4. Be a hero (or a villain)
Fancy Dress Friday is a T in the Park institution, and this year’s theme is Heroes and Villains. Whether you favour the hero or fancy heading over to the dark side, make sure your costume is the best.
5. Sing your heart out
Friday night will see Britain’s original and best singalong club night, Friday I’m in Love, make itsT in the Park debut when it closes the Transmissions Stage. Sing your heart out to classic indie and rock and roll anthems en masse, to the backing of a brilliant live band.
6. Be at the heart of the party in Sunset Strip
Whether you’re a camper or a day-tripper, Sunset Strip is the ultimate party destination and is bursting with an exotic array of cabaret, comedy, circus, fairground attractions and late night entertainment, including the Scottish Sun Cabaret Club, Slam Tent, Lords of Lightning, Arcadia’s Afterburner and more.
7. Dance the night away
Located in Sunset Strip, Arcadia’s Afterburner is set to become the hottest after-hours destination for festival-goers. A brand new, special addition to the site for the 20th year celebrations, this spectacular fire and light pulsating structure will play host to big name DJs and mixing talent including Rudimental, Eats Everything, Claude VonStroke, Far Too Loud, DJ Die and Inja, Chopstick Dubplate and more.
8. Be struck by the Lords of Lightning
Harnessing 4 million volts of raw electricity, the legendary Lords of Lightning are charged, primed and ready to dazzle at T in the Park. Bringing their jaw-dropping, hair-raising show to Kinross for the first time, this fully-charged performance features 4 million volts of raw electricity arcing between 2 men’s brains. Unmissable.
9. Watch out for the Flyin’ Jalapenos in Kaleidoscope Fields
A carnival of colour and escapism awaits you in Kaleidoscope Fields. Don’t miss pop-up performances and street dance courtesy of Bearded Kitten and the sensational Scottish dance crew Flyin’ Jalapenos.
10. Tuck into some of the finest fresh festival cuisine at Healthy T
Healthy T’s global kitchen returns offering quality festival cuisine made from the finest fresh ingredients, with an emphasis on Scottish produce. Hang out with the stars at the Scottish Sun Signing Tent, where you can meet some of the biggest names performing over the festival weekend.
18. Get your skates on
Head to the roller disco (new for 2013) in the Lucozade YES Arena for some festival fun with a retro twist, then head back at night when the area becomes a headphone disco.
19. Relax with a massage
