Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival Launches ‘Well in the Dell’ – Scotland’s Most Ambitious Festival Wellbeing Zone

A brand-new dedicated wellness destination will make it’s debut at Belladrum’s 22nd year, nestled in the wooded dell and set to become a highlight of the festival’s escapism offering.

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, the beloved Highland festival escape that has drawn families, music lovers and free spirits to the heart of the Scottish Highlands for 22 years, today announces the launch of Well in the Dell, a brand new dedicated wellbeing zone arriving at Belladrum 2026, which marks a significant and exciting new chapter for one of Scotland’s most cherished festivals. Taking place Thursday 30th July – Saturday 1st of August, Belladrum has long claimed to be about more than music.

Since its first edition in 2004, ‘Bella’ has offered attendees the opportunity to step away from the wider happenings of life and enjoy time away. Starting as a one-day event, the festival has grown over time and now takes place across 3 days, offering 14 stages, over 100 family friendly activities and historically a handful of wellbeing activities.

Organisers have said that post-event surveys over the last few years in particular have highlighted that festivalgoers weren’t just looking for great musical acts, but that there was an interest in additional wellbeing style activity.

Across all three days of the festival, Well in the Dell will offer a rich and varied programme of wellness experiences, with the vast majority being free with a festival  ticket and spanning mind, body, and community.

Attendees can expect the programming to include movement sessions, sound baths, including a Family Soundbath Experience by Pause & Be, mindfulness and grounding workshops, complementary and alternative therapies, and an alternative health market.
The activities are brought to life by several organisations.

Making their Belladrum debut, Highland Well-Ness Collective is a community-rooted counselling and wellbeing collective from the Highlands, run by counsellors Laura and Kate. Their programme will include feel good science (workshops exploring brain chemicals and how we feel), ‘meet a councillor’ sessions, meditative drawing sessions and more.

Bringing the heat to the Dell across all three days is Horsebox Sauna who will be firing up sessions from Thursday through to Saturday. Pre bookings are open now via the Tartan Heart website.

Peeple (PEEP) , a charity dedicated to supporting parents and carers in their child’s learning and development through play, both at home and within the community.

At this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, the team will host a special Highland PEEP session for children under three and their families. Through sensory play, storytelling, songs and interactive activities, parents and carers will discover simple, engaging ways to support their child’s development while enjoying quality time together in a fun festival setting.

Willow & Blue, Inverness’s new holistic healing space and detox lounge will bring a taste of their services to Belladrum including barre, yoga, Pilates and sound baths.

Highland Mindfulness are also joining the programme, allowing people the opportunity to relax and destress during a busy festival and will include poetry, readings and a listening ear.

WRight Pain Management are also joining in the offering, a group of students studying a BSc in integrative healthcare at UHI. They come fully qualified in various therapies such as massage, reflexology, foot reading and Indian head massage.

In addition to the wellbeing activities there are several alternative health stalls attending including Well Balanced Witch Tarot reader, Tashas’s botanics with a range of natural, organic, herbal wellness and skincare products and Phoenix Rising offering attendees’ psychic medium readings and Crystal/Reiki treatments. Belladrum favourites, Mobile Massage, are also returning to the festival this year and will be roaming the site offering massages.

We are proud to announce our brand new dedicated wellness space and to be working alongside an incredible team of Highland wellness professionals. As a festival that encourages ‘escapism’ , creating a space that allows our Bella family to relax, recharge and reconnect, is an exciting addition to the festival experience. We’re very lucky to call the Belladrum Estate, and the Highlands, our home, so where better to be at one with nature.
– Naomi Hollas, Festival Co-ordinator
