GROOVE CAIRNGORM – THE UK’S ONLY SNOWSPORTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL INITIAL LINE-UP ANNOUNCED
GROOVE CAIRNGORM returns for it’s third outing over the weekend on Fri 23rd and Sat 24th February 2018 spread across the Cairngorm Mountains and Badaguish Outdoor centre on the outskirts of Aviemore.
The first line-up up announcement for the apres-ski party features an eclectic line-up of artists including Pioneering Belgian brothers David & Stephen Dewaele better known under their stage name 2MANYDJS who are set to bring their electrifying performance to the festival, having proved themselves to be firm favourites in clubs and festivals throughout the UK; joining them is unquestionably one of the most respected and popular DJs in the world today NORMAN JAY MBE. Co-founder of the legendary Good Times Sound System and London dance music station KISS FM, Jay fostered the ‘Rare Groove’ scene pushing the boundaries of the UK’s emerging club culture and to top it all off was awarded an MBE in 2002 for services to deejaying and music.
START TO END take their DAFT PUNKS DISCOVERY (Live!) show to Groove with their amazing 7 piece live interpretation of Daft Punk’s sophomore 2001 album ‘Discovery’. EVERYTHING IS LIVE, guitars, drums, keys.. everything, with sell out shows and incredible reviews this is set to be a definite highlight of the weekend; firm festival favourites, the Shiny disco ball hat wearing, ultimate genre hopping, twisted festival, live stage machine that puts the emphasis on music, entertaining & laughter COLONEL MUSTARD & THE DIJON FIVE will also be joining us over the weekend.
Final act for the moment are Glasgow funksters, SHAKA LOVES YOU, their unique live show effortlessly fuses elements of funk, soul, disco & hip -hop with turntable trickery & tight percussion; the next wave of line-up is set to be announced very soon so watch this space…..

Alongside snowsports throughout the day, there will be two stages at The Cairngorm Mountain. A DJ/Electronic stage at the base station and an acoustic stage in the Ptarmagin Restaurant at the top of the mountain.
The evening entertainment then moves to a woodland clearing at The Badaguish Outdoor Centre with free shuttle busses being provided to all ticket holders between Cairngorm Mountain, Aviemore and the Arpres-ski party site at Badaguish. For those not wanting to take part in snowsports there are music only/apres-ski tickets also available.
This year’s festival is supported by EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s Events Directorate.
