Gutsy US rock quartet Rival Sons from Long Beach, California, has been confirmed to headline the Crabbie’s Hothouse Stage at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (6th-8thAugust, Beauly, Inverness). Their sounds harks back to blues rock bands like Led Zeppelin, The Animals and Free.

Also confirmed on the bill are: Villagers, the Dublin-based indie folk band fronted by Conor O’Brien who will headline the Black Isle Brewery Grassroots Stage on the Saturday night;  Drenge, the two piece grunge band from Castleton in Derbyshire and Neon Waltz, the psychedelic six piece from Caithness. Hotly tipped singer/ songwriter Adam French from Cheshire will also feature at the festival as will Jamie Lawson, the amazing Plymouth acoustic artist who is the first signing to Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread label.

Further acts are still to be announced.

This year, a new VIP enclosure has been created in a leafy woodland glade near a burn at the festival called “The Hielan’ Coo Club” after the event’s mascot of a highland cow. Featured in this VIP area will be: a cocktail bar and chill-out zone; covered seating; posh loos; massage; beauty and makeup area; yurt sauna; and special food and drink. A limited number of £30 one-day tickets are available to the new main stage extra night on the evening of Thursday 6th August. Tickets include the cost of parking but camping for Thursday only ticket holders is not available.

All other available adult and children weekend and day tickets have been sold as have Campervan/ Caravan tickets.

Tickets allowing an upgrade from Weekend to Three Day tickets to see The Proclaimers on the new Thursday night main stage are available to existing Weekend ticket holders, as are Saturday to Weekend upgrades. Upgrades to Electrical Hook-up are available to existing Campervan/ Caravan ticket holders.

People still wanting to purchase weekend or three day e-tickets to Belladrum can email support@skiddle.com where they will go on a waiting list in case tickets are returned. The same goes for persons who have tickets to the festival but want to acquire camper/caravan e-tickets.

Arrangements are being put in place for the safe transfer of printed tickets at face value only. These will be announced via social media and in newsletters. “We urge people not to deal with touts purporting to sell tickets over e-commerce sites,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs. “Too many have been caught out by handing over funds and then never receiving the tickets. If you don’t know the person selling you the ticket, the only safe way to acquire tickets will be via the methods we have suggested.”

Already announced for Belladrum’s music line-up are The Proclaimers headlining the new Thursday night bill on the main stage, with The CorrespondentsKeston Cobblers Club, Scooty & The Skyhooks and Bite Night also on the Thursday bill. Manic Street Preachers headline Friday night and   Kaiser Chiefs headline the Saturday. Belladrum has also announced that its fancy dress theme this year will be ‘Superheroes.’ A Friday headliner will be publicised in due course, together with around 100 more acts.

The festival takes place on 6th– 8th August August 2015. A new optional premium three day ticket to an additional headliner performance on the main stage on the Thursday opening night has been added to the event. The Proclaimers have been announced to headline the Thursday night. Bella sold out in record time in 2014, and has sold out each of the last six years, often months before the event so fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment. E-tickets are more customer-friendly and less easy to scam, but printed tickets are also be on sale via the usual retail outlets.

Belladrum 2015 takes place in the beautiful Highland surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire. The independent festival has built a reputation for its eclectic line-ups, its offbeat non-musical entertainments and its all-ages approach. The festival won a VisitScotland Thistle Award in 2009 and is a past winner of the Grassroots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards, the festival industry’s ‘Oscars’.
