Santa made a triumphant return to Edinburgh tonight with a dazzling show in St Andrew Square Garden and a sleigh ride through the centre of the city.
The build-up started at 5pm, with children in reindeer outfits, sugar plum fairies and a Brazilian samba band entertaining the crowd. Santa arrived in St Andrew Square Garden before a procession his sleigh pulled by his reindeer along George Street. The procession consisted of many of Santa’s helpers including elve’s and sugar plum fairies all moving to the beat of the Brazilian samba band. Upon returning to St Andrew Square Garden, Santa dismounted his sleigh, tended to the reindeer and met many of the children.
