HUNDREDS of festive fundraisers today turned Princes Street Gardens into a sea of red and white as they took part in the Great Edinburgh Santa Run.

In the rather dreich conditions Santas of all ages ran, walked and strolled around the two-kilometre circuit in aid of the children’s charity When You Wish Upon A Star.

The charity sends courageous kids with life threatening illnesses on a trip of a lifetime to Lapland.

The fundraisers took part in a mass Zumba class to prepare for their exertions. (Evening News)
