NORTH EAST’S FIRST EVER ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

TAKES PLACE IN TIMES SQUARE

Bank Holiday Monday, May 5th 2014.

    1pm – 11pm

The inaugural Northern Lights festival takes place on Times Square in Newcastle with a host of internationally celebrated DJ’s taking to the decks for a day of superlative electronic music.

Northern Lights are proud to be the regions first ever electronic music festival and this dance music spectacular offers 7500 festival goers 10 hours of pure unadulterated electronic entertainment.

Northern Lights will bring together three of the UKs biggest music brands, Elektriqa, Goodgreef & Module over 3 arenas and some of the most internationally respected electronic artists will descend

upon Newcastle for the cities ultimate dance music celebration.

On the main stage Elektriqa will join forces with Belgium record label, Smash The House which will be headlined by  Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, best known for their headline Tomorrowland &

Creamfield’s sets and global smash record “Mammoth”, recently voted “6th Best DJ in World” by DJ mag these Belgium boys will make Times Square shine!

Joining them will be ‘very special guests’ Nervo. These two Aussie girls have taken over the planet’s airwaves the last few years, producing records for the likes of David Guetta & Nicky Romero these girls

mean serious business.

Also putting in place the main stage foundations will be Tommy Trash, fresh after his number one hit record “Reload” with Swedish House Mafia don Sebastian Ingrosso & John Martin.

The 2nd arena will be hosted by well-known UK club brand, Goodgreef, who will deliver a mouth- watering array of acts from the European Trance scene. Headlining will be the phenomenal, European

DJ & ‘Subculture’ producer John O’Callaghan. He will be joined by one of the largest ever line ups of its kind featuring the likes of Lange, Jordan Suckley, Menno De Jong and Sneijder  to name but a few.

The outdoor terrace will be taken over by rising Newcastle house brand, Module that is set to fuse together the melodic sounds of house, deep house, disco & tech. Headlined by Leeds producer

Josh Butler and support from Snowbombing Festival’s Marc Roberts this is set to be a great musical addition to the day.

Event director Michael Hesketh comments “I grew up engrossed going to see electronic acts in this area at some of the best venues in the country… It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to create

a huge electronic music event for this region.”

Doors open at 1pm with the site closing at 11pm. This is an over 18’s event, and ID may be required before entry. Tickets are available from www.ReachForTheLights.com and start at just £28+bf.
