The Washboard Union Announce Scottish Debut in Edinburgh
European Tour Dates To Follow This Fall
April 27, 2026
Toronto, ON — Award-winning Canadian country band The Washboard Union are expanding their international footprint with their debut in Scotland on May 24 at the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh, following the recent reveal of their first-ever UK and European tour.
The band’s inaugural UK run will kick off May 23, 2026, at the Buckle & Boots Festival in Stockport. The tour continues with stops in Edinburgh, Newcastle, London, Sheffield, and Nuneaton.
This fall, the trio returns to Europe for performances at Festival International de Country Music de Santa Susanna in Barcelona, Spain (Oct. 30), Backstage Halle in Munich, Germany (Nov. 3), and Helios37 in Cologne, Germany (Nov. 4).
“Our music is taking us places now we dreamed it would when we started the band. We are thrilled to be headed back to Spain and off to England, Scotland and Germany for our first shows ever there,” said Chris “Dunner” Duncombe.
Alongside the tour news, the group recently released their brand-new single, “This Old House,” available on all streaming platforms via Arts & Crafts Country. A signature Washboard Union anthem, the track reflects on the lasting imprint of home and the memories that shape who we become.
“Thinking of the old house I grew up in brings memories rushing back in,” said David Roberts. “Empty rooms and bare walls come alive with laughter, struggles, secrets, and dreams. My childhood held safe under one roof — the old house I used to live in — now it lives within me.”
With more than 85 million global streams, over 525,000 radio spins, multiple Platinum and Gold-certified singles, nine Top 10 hits, and more than 35 major awards, The Washboard Union have earned a reputation for soaring three-part harmonies, electrifying live performances, and deeply resonant songwriting.
