BELLADRUM ADDS MANIC STREET PREACHERS, STRANGLERS AND MANY MORE TO LINE-UP – LAUNCHES VIP TICKETS FOR “THE HIELAN’ COO CLUB”

Welsh rockers the Manic Street Preachers join the line-up for the sold-out Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (6th-8th August; Beauly Inverness-shire), headlining the festival’s main stage on the Friday night.The multi award-winning chart-toppers are joined in making their first appearance at Bella by punk rockers The Stranglers and post-punk alt rockers New Model Army.Martha Reeves & The Vandellas bring their Motown and R&B classics to the Garden Stage where they are joined by Hayseed Dixie, the hillbilly act who perform a mixture of ACDC/Hard Rock covers and original tracks, Stornoway, the melodic alt indie folk band from Oxford, and Fife singer-songwriter King Creosote.

Fatherson, the indie three piece from Glasgow, make a much anticipated return to Bella. Other additions to the line-up include: John Langan Band; RURA; Vigo ThievesVukovi; JP Cooper; Louis Berry; James Brown Is Annie; Hector Bizerk; Miss Irenie Rose; AKAska; The Dolly Parton Story; The Skull Kids; Siiga; Elephant Sessions, Have Mercy Las Vegas; The Shee; Rhythm Wave; Silver Coast; Iain McLaughlin & The  Outsiders; Dorec-a-Belle; Caledonian Ceilidh Trail; Head North and Junebug, winner of Bella’s Got Talent 2014.

Further acts are still to be announced.

A new VIP enclosure has been created in a leafy woodland glade near a burn at the festival called “The Hielan’ Coo Club” after the event’s mascot of a highland cow. Featured in this VIP area will be: a cocktail bar and chill-out zone; covered seating; posh loos; massage; beauty and makeup area; yurt sauna; and special food and drink. Tickets for adults (£45*) and 12 & unders (£25*) are available from www.tartanheartfestival.co.uk  

A limited number of £30 one-day tickets are available to the new main stage extra night on the evening of Thursday 6th August. Tickets include the cost of parking but camping for Thursday only ticket holders is not available.

All other available adult and children weekend and day tickets have been sold as have Campervan/ Caravan tickets.

Tickets allowing an upgrade from Weekend to Three Day tickets to see The Proclaimers on the new Thursday night main stage are available to existing Weekend ticket holders, as are Saturday to Weekend upgrades. Upgrades to Electrical Hook-up are available to existing Campervan/ Caravan ticket holders.

People still wanting to purchase weekend or three day e-tickets to Belladrum can email support@skiddle.com where they will go on a waiting list in case tickets are returned. The same goes for persons who have tickets to the festival but want to acquire camper/caravan e-tickets.

Arrangements are being put in place for the safe transfer of printed tickets at face value only. These will be announced via social media and in newsletters. “We urge people not to deal with touts purporting to sell tickets over e-commerce sites,” said festival promoter Joe Gibbs. “Too many have been caught out by handing over funds and then never receiving the tickets. If you don’t know the person selling you the ticket, the only safe way to acquire tickets will be via the methods we have suggested.”

Already announced for Belladrum’s music line-up are The Proclaimers headlining the new Thursday night bill on the main stage, with The CorrespondentsKeston Cobblers Club, Scooty & The Skyhooks and Bite Night also on the Thursday bill. Kaiser Chiefs headline the Saturday. Eddi Reader headlines the Black isle Brewery Grassroots Stage on the Friday. Joining these on the line-up are Glasgow’s hot new indie band Honeyblood and Scots pop upstart KLOË plus: hot trad outfit ManranMartin Stephenson & The DainteesMacFloyd; Tantz; Torridon; Coco & The Butterfields; The New Madrids; Blackbeard’s Tea Party; Dizraeli & The Small GodsGoat Roper Rodeo Band and Rusty Shackle.

Belladrum has also announced that its fancy dress theme this year will be ‘Superheroes.’ A Friday headliner will be publicised in due course, together with around 100 more acts.

The festival takes place on 6th– 8th August August 2015. A new optional premium three day ticket to an additional headliner performance on the main stage on the Thursday opening night has been added to the event. The Proclaimers have been announced to headline the Thursday night. Bella sold out in record time in 2014, and has sold out each of the last six years, often months before the event so fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment. E-tickets are more customer-friendly and less easy to scam, but printed tickets are also be on sale via the usual retail outlets.

Belladrum 2015 takes place in the beautiful Highland surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire. The independent festival has built a reputation for its eclectic line-ups, its offbeat non-musical entertainments and its all-ages approach. The festival won a VisitScotland Thistle Award in 2009 and is a past winner of the Grassroots Festival Award at the UK Festival Awards, the festival industry’s ‘Oscars’.
