With camping tickets long since sold out, and only a handful of weekend tickets remaining we’re pleased to start pulling the wraps off this years line up. Again, despite the festivals tiny size and remote location a veritable treasure trove of acts are making their way North to the unofficial last hurrah of the festival season.

Leading the charge of first time appearances is a long overdue visit from punk legends THE DAMNED. 35 years on, and the rush of witnessing a Damned live show is still comparable to that first buzz of energy released at some long forgotten sweat box of youth. The wonderfully talented, and number one selling GABRIELLE APLIN brings her band North in support of her second album Light Up The Dark which is released on the 18th September; ‘Word Up!’. Homegrown rockers GUN will be joining us. Performing only their second show, and indeed their first festival appearance, in fifteen years are recently reformed THE SUPERNATURALS. Expect to bounce along to a hits filled set including Smile, Built to Get Up and the Day Before Yesterday; King Creosote and Vic Galloway make a welcome return but this time in the guise of the KHARTOUM HEROES. Expect psychedelia, folk, punk, ska, indie, pop and bluegrass in an unholy blend, played by paunchy men in ill-fitting outfits. SKIPPINISH lead the traditional charge as well as an always welcome return visit from SKERRYVORE fresh from headlining their own sell out Decade concert to six thousand people.

Loopallu has always made a name for itself for introducing a host of tomorrows stars, and this year is no different with appearances by Manchester three piece MANMADE; fresh off the Fender American Standard tour TWIN WILD; Urby from Noah and the Whales new band LITTLE MAMMOTHS; and in association with XpoNorth we present some of Scotlands leading up and coming acts including SPRING BREAK, CATHOLIC ACTION and NIEVES.

Having counted the number of sunny days on the North West Coast, this years fancy dress theme could be none other than ‘Lost Summer’. Interpret that any way you like.

The last tickets remaining tickets are available from www.loopallu.co.uk or in person from the North West Outdoors (Ullapool);
